A Fresh Start for Q2: Reflecting on Your Financial Goals

Spring weather has arrived in East Tennessee!  I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for more sunshine and longer days!  As we transition to a season of renewal, it’s a good time to take a fresh look at our finances.

Today, I’m excited to guide you through a comprehensive financial check-in. As you walk through the financial assessment below, I don’t want you to judge yourself too harshly.  This is a comfortable space for you to reflect and make positive adjustments.

Let’s take a moment to revisit your 2024 Financial Goals.

🌟 How are you feeling about your finances right now?

If you compare this to how you felt on January 1, are things feeling better or worse?  Why is that?  What things are in your control, and what things feel out of your control?  What would make you feel peace around your finances?  What specific steps do you need to take to feel at peace?

🤔 How have you handled unexpected expenses so far this year?

Were you able to fit the unexpected expenses into your monthly budget?  Did you use your credit card for unexpected expenses?  Did you take money out of your savings account to cover these expenses?  Was this an expense that you could have planned for (i.e., car repair, home repair, medical expenses, etc.) Is there a different approach you’d like to take moving forward?

🌈 What financial milestones have you achieved this year?

Have you created and followed a budget this year?  Have you saved an emergency fund?  Have you paid off any debt?  Have you started funding sinking funds for upcoming expenses?

This is your time to celebrate achievements, reassess goals, and ensure that your budget aligns seamlessly with your goals. Remember, the journey to financial well-being is unique to each of us, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach.

As a financial coach, this is my exact area of expertise – helping you walk your unique path to the money goals you’re after. If you found yourself shaking your head NO when I asked you if things are feeling better with your money or if you’ve been able to cover unexpected expenses with ease, now might be the season to reach out and have a free conversation with me about your next steps.

Let’s use this season as an opportunity to cultivate growth in our financial lives. You’ve got this!

I’m here to support you every step of the way.
