Plan for the Expected

As a financial coach, who struggled for years to get her financial act together, I love showing people how to change their finances with small steps over time.

You see, going “all in” works for some people, but not everyone.  Some people actually get overwhelmed at the thought of going “all in” and do nothing at all.  I don’t want that for you!   It is possible to change your finances by taking small steps over time.  I want you to make a plan for your real life, eliminate financial overwhelm, and make progress to boot!

So, let’s talk about another small step you can take…

As you are working on your budget, make sure you are planning for expected expenses.

What does this look like?  Include your calendar in the budgeting process.  This will help you make a realistic plan for your money.  That’s what we are going for!  REALISTIC!

Make sure you are including any doctor appointments, insurance premiums, expenses related to your kids (extracurricular activities, etc.), birthdays, anniversaries, and last, but not least TAXES!  Yes, I want you to start thinking about your tax bill now, not in April.

What expenses will you be including in your budget?
