How to Make Room in your Budget for a Little Summer Fun!

I hope the weather is sunny and warm where you are!  In East Tennessee, we are wondering what happened to spring!  It’s felt like summer for quite some time.

If you have been following me for any length of time you know that I’m all about transforming your finances by taking small steps.

This month, I can’t help but think that maybe, just maybe, you would like to find a little extra money in your budget to do a few things you love or maybe even pay down a little debt.  So, I have an idea for you!

When was the last time you reviewed all of the automatic charges being made to your bank account or credit card?

Suggestion:  Review your bank statements and credit card statements this month.  Are you subscribing to any services that you no longer need or have been meaning to cancel?

📺  Hulu
🎬  Netflix
🥗  Hello Fresh
👸  Disney+
📦  Amazon Prime
💻  Norton Antivirus
🏀  Gym membership
🖨   Printer Ink
🥩  Butcher Box

Subscription services are so popular these days that $20 here and $20 there may not seem like much, but those amounts really do add up!

If you are already budgeting (yay!), go through your budget and evaluate all your expenses.  What can you reduce to make more room for fun or other financial goals?

When you are reviewing your bank and credit card statements, you may even find that some of your subscriptions are being charged to your credit card instead of your debit card causing you to rack up even more debt.  This is a good time to fix that issue as well.

I hope this tip helps you put a little more money in your pocket!  😉
