Re-Evaluate Your Financial Goals
It’s important to review and reevaluate your goals. I want you to do this at the end of every month or quarter. This is especially true if you are new to budgeting because it takes 3 months to get good at budgeting and understanding your spending habits.
Questions to Ask Yourself When You Re-Evaluate Your Financial Goals
Is this goal still attainable?
What do I need to change in the next quarter to reach this goal?
Is your spending aligned with your goal?
Was this goal too easy?
Do I need to increase my goal or change my timeline for achieving this goal?
Don’t judge yourself too harshly and quit if you aren’t reaching your goals. Evaluate the situation and adjust. I don’t want you to get stuck in a negative mindset. Remember you are in charge of your goals. You made the goals and you set the timeline. Will it really matter if it takes you a few extra months to reach your goal? If you keep moving forward you will reach your goals!
How are you doing with setting goals? How often do you re-evaluate your financial goals? Do you have any questions?
